8ON8 was founded in 2017 by Li Gong upon his graduation with honors from Central Saint Martins, as a canvas for his creative vision for retrofuturism. Combining his unique interpretation of the past and an imagined cityscape of the future, Gong fuses the two into a bond to the world we live in. The authentic visual lexicon intensifies the designing presonality with emotions, zooming in on the life slices of the elevated and sophisticated urban dwellers from a variety of perspectives. With a focus on both fashion and function, 8ON8’s design is led by functionality and wearability. Rich layering and precise construction are built through a keen eye for the body-garment relationship, a modern touch of athleticism and retro-inspired colors. 8ON8 debuted at London Fashion Week in 2019 and fixed on its fixed its brand list ever since. Looking for global efforts to envision creativity through eye-catching designs, the brand teamed with ASICS, a leading-edge sports brand in Japan and the world, since 2020; joint hands with CANALI, a maker of fine tailoring from Italy, in 2021; and will collaborate with GAP in the second half of 2023 with a unique capsule for the Asia-Pacific region.


Li Gong, the Founder and Creative Director of 8ON8, graduated from Central Saint Martins (CSM) with Distinction and was awarded the Grand Prix LVMH Scholarship during his master’s studies.
His graduation collection received unanimous praises from the America VOGUE Chief Critic Sarah Mower, BOF, and other media at London Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2017. In 2018, the brand was honored as one of the ’10 Asian Designers to Watch’ and won the ‘Best Emerging Designer Brand’ at Shanghai Fashion Week in the same year. LI GONG has been included in the Forbes China ‘30 Under 30′ list since 2018, and in 2019 he was sponsored by ‘GQ China Presents’ and began to release his collection on the official schedule of London Fashion Week.And then he was named among the Vogue Business 100 Innovators in 2023
In 2021, 8ON8 launched a global collaboration collection with Italian menswear brand CANALI and has been collaborating with Japanese sports brand ASICS since 2020. Li also contributed as the Creative Consultant of Sports Styles for ASICS China.
